Social computing eCommerce IT Toolbox Home

What are the essential tools that every IT person should have in the modern IT world? That is the idea behind a new Kingston University module called IT Toolbox. Over a 12 week semester, first year students will be guided through a series of activities such as blogging, running a server, client and server side scripting, search, social networking and problem solving. Each of those activities will be published here and anyone is welcome to join in.

It appears from the last activity that this topic is of great interest to many of you. Thanks for all the questions.

In this lecture I will look at the current mobile market and what makes mobile special. We will discuss both Android and the iPhone and see what has changed because of their introduction. I will also try to answer as many of your questions as I can.

Jonathan replies: 7.2 must be completed by the end of the year. Part 1's need to be completed asap if you are to avoid an exam.

Jonathan replies: I had to upload the lecture again. I think that sometimes Vimeo gets confused about the file format and produces rubbish that won't play. Glad it works now.
