A short activity this week that asks you to answer 10 questions about the case study you are preparing. The deadline is Thursday at midnight and the questions raised will be used for Friday's lecture.

  1. Which of the following sectors is your case study based in?
  2. Who is the specific client you have selected within that sector?
  3. Describe clearly the mobile application that you are proposing for this client?
  4. List the main mobile technologies that you will use to deliver your service or application?
  5. Describe clearly the benefits of the application to the end user or customer?
  6. Discuss who will be paying for the service you are providing and whether they will be willing to pay?
  7. What other companies or 3rd party services will you use to deliver your solution?
  8. Are other companies in this sector already offering this type of service?
  9. If they are, describe how your proposed solution improves on what is already available or if not explain why other companies are not offering your application?
  10. What questions would you like me to cover during this week’s revision lecture?
  11. How well do you expect to do in the forthcoming exam?

Here is the link for feeding back your answers.

I am struggling to come up with an idea for a case study as I understand that you want a company to use new mobile technology and why it would be helpful for that company i dont understand how to come up with an idea to use for my case study

Jonathan replies: That is part of the task I'm afraid. If you have been following the exercises it should be straightforward. I am not looking for something totally new - just the sensible application of technology to a new customer.
