Learning to search

We all think we use search engines such as Google, MSN and Yahoo! well but how many of us have really learned how to search?

When search engines return thousands or millions of results, how do you filter and refine your search, how can you ask the right questions or evaluate the answers you get back?

As part of your project you will need to research business, technology and academic influences on your chosen field of study. It is worth spending a few hours improving your research skills.

I could try and write my own guide to searching but instead I thought I'd search the web and find one for you. Here is an excellent one from Berkeley University in California... Finding information on the Internet.

Let me know what you think of it, suggest other similar resources if you find them or if you have other general topics you want help researching, ask me about them.

What do you think?
