Here are the questions you should consider…

1.How would you define presence?
2.Give a couple of examples
3.How available are you to others at this moment?

  • Email application open and checking for mail
  • Blackberry receiving email
  • MSN or another IM system active
  • IM Status set to anything but Available
  • Mobile phone switched on
  • Mobile phone switched on but silent

4.How many (MSN) buddies do you have (if you use MSN or another IM system)?
5.How many contacts do you have in your mobile phone address book?
6.When you receive a “Private Call” without the number being identified do you sometimes send it to voicemail?
7.Have you set your own voicemail message on your mobile phone system?
8.What are the advantages of integrating “presence awareness” into IT systems?
9.Describe any you can see dangers of “presence awareness”?
10.What questions do you have about presence?
