Here are some test questions that will give you an idea of the sorts of things asked in the second part of the examination. Of course in the exam you would have fewer questions and you would go into more depth. This should, however, help.

1. State the URL of the company that you are using for your case study?
2. Describe clearly three things that are wrong with the site you have selected?
3. State 3 specific actions you would recommend to resolve these problems
4. List 3 competitors
5. What are their competitors (in the same industry) doing that is better?
6. Describe the specific needs of customers for the site you are studying?
7. What additional changes would you make to the customer journey involved with finding, choosing and buying a product?
8. List 3 ways in which you could help the company achieve better organic search results for the products on the site
9. Why might they still not achieve a top position for common words?
10. List 3 key phrases for your company that would be likely to have a high conversion rate in a PPC campaign
11. List the types of partners (other companies) that you would be likely to have to deal with if you were to redesign and rebuild this website from scratch so that the site was fully integrated into the company’s business
12. For each of the following tasks, estimate (roughly) in person days the amount of time it would take to redesign and rebuild the site as you have suggested?
    -Analysis of existing systems
    -Writing of specification of new system
    -Graphical design of all pages
    -Integration with internal and 3rd party systems
    -Recoding of site using content management system or software package
    -Creation of interactive & decision support elements
    -Manipulation of content and products (info and images)
    -Testing
    -Project management
13. What would be the total cost you would expect a web design company to charge to complete the job above?
14. List 3 changes in the ecommerce industry that you would expect to affect your client in the next 2-3 years?
