Do blogs help improve eCommerce results?

We are trying to persuade a number of our ecommerce clients that they should use blogs and social networks to promote themselves, their sites and improve their results.

Most are reluctant siting the unquantifiable value and the work involved. We hope to prove them wrong.

Today, the OTHER media's marketing team created a very simple blog http://othermarketing.blogspot.com using Blogger to start publishing notes about our work, the tools we use and to share some of the techniques and results.

We have deliberately taken the "cheap and cheerful" route because this is part of what we are recommending to our clients.

It will be interesting to see whether this blog can generate some interest and some conversations.

What do you think?
