  1. Choose one of the sites that you have been evaluating and create a two page Word document that illustrates the current customer journey.
  2. Use the document on the right as a template. (images are 5cm high)
  3. You will need to capture the screens from the site and then make comments and observations.
  4. Try and capture one complete journey (from the home or landing page through to the registration/shopping process).
  5. Instead of using a survey this week, please send your work (by Tuesday midnight to jonathanbriggs@mac.com with the subject line “Customer Journey for name of site by K456534”
  6. This activity should take about 2 hours

Hi Jonathan,

I was trying to e-mail you the Customer Journey exercise to jonathanbriggs@mac.com but the e-mail bounces back with an undeliverable message.

Jonathan replies: Yep. Mail bounced! Should be OK again now.

I'm trying to send you the customer journey excercise but im getting a mail notification error saying it exceeds the file limit. How am i supposed to minimise the file size?

Jonathan replies: You need smaller images or to turn your 2 pages into a PDF. Send in two parts if necessary.

Although last week many people praised the exercise. I Feel somehow this activity was a lot more interactive as the Customer journey was our actual journey, I noticed a lot more issues that affected me minor or major and maybe ill pay more attention when designing web pages.

Jonathan replies: I am trying to create a whole range of exercises to get you thinking. I'm glad you found this one interesting.
