Below are 5 fictitious clients. Read their mobile plans, consider how effective they will be and make notes to help them improve what they are proposing.

Here is the link for feeding back your results. The deadline is Thursday 6th April at midnight for feedback on Friday.

1. Club owner

Loud is a weekly club night run at different large venues across London specialising in Old Skool. The business uses flyers in pubs and flyposting to attract its customers. The owner of the business wants to reduce her promotional costs by increasing the numbers of regulars. She is proposing to use MMS messaging to send out ads with the week’s location, DJ clips and special offers. She has collected a list of mobile numbers using a prize draw over the last 3 months.

5. Mobile researchers

A research company employs a team of researchers to visit supermarkets to check on prices and wants to send localised research requests to its staff using GPS and SMS. This would allow them to respond quickly to local changes in pricing. The company might for example want to send “Macleans Toothpaste” to researchers only in the midlands asking them to check on the prices of that product in their local stores. Currently these requests are sent out as email but SMS is much quicker.
