Become a meta data detective: a talk for One Club in New York

I am in New York for the weekend helping Hyper Island run a workshop for senior people in the Advertising and Creative industries. It is our first Master Class in the US and we are all a bit nervous that our European approach will not translate over here but the first impressions are great.

My first session today will discuss some of the tools I use to evaluate clients, markets and opportunities. Here is a copy of my slides (although not all the links will work as you need an account). Hi Toolkit (744 KB)

Key to my presentation is that in order to engage customers in the new dialogues promised by social media, we need to understand who these customers are, what they want and the other things they are interested in. This is made possible by all the meta data they leave around as they explore and transact online.

Today we can access this meta data and use all sorts of tools to visualise and interpret it.

Exciting times.
